So I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed hEDS. My right thumb has been hurting like crazy lately. So I needed something. This works great. I never realized how much I over extended my thumb until I got this. I'm still getting used to it, so I do take it off regularly to build up the tolerance to it. But the pain is going down. Overall super happy about this purchase, it was definitely needed.
I was on the fence when I first got this ring because it wasn't terribly comfortable out of the box, but it turns out it just needed a bit of adjusting. Some bits were too stiff to adjust by hand, so I used a pair of pliers very gently to make incremental changes. Ultimately, I ended up angling each side a bit and pulled the swirls at each end up slightly to get the best fit. Now I'm thinking of getting another for my other hand!
* my fingers may look a little purple. I just colored my hair. The ring is not cutting off circulation LOL

I use these to help train my thumbs while I'm learning to play the tin whistle. They catch on my knit things and are a bit fiddly when I am getting dressed, but they prevent my thumbs from over extending and hurting without additional issues like chafing or heat rash of fabric braces. Love it!

I didn't realize I had hypermobility in my thumbs until I started noticing pain when I played ukulele due to the weight of the instrument on my over-bent thumb joint. This ring limits my thumb's ability to bend too far back, enabling me to play my ukes without joint pain!
It's the perfect size, and Makai even let me message her so she could help me adjust the fit so that it works better, and that made a huge difference!

Quality item and materials ring
The ring is exactly as pictured and well made. I got the hammered sterling option, and it’s very sturdy, but fairly easy to adjust with jewelry pliers. Originally, I ordered a style that didn’t work for my issue, and the seller was super great about recommending the proper style ring needed and setting up an exchange.

I find the item to be beautiful to look at, as well as comfortable to wear.
I do find it helps me enough to prohibit pain while knitting or other activities. But I do wish there was a tad more restriction personally due to my extreme range of bend. That is entirely personal. But I wear it all the time and it does help with pain and i am super happy with the product and will likely buy another for my other thumb !

Exactly as described and high quality craftsmanship, sterling silver as stated and is easily adjustable. Just what I needed and is comfortable after some adjustments and stretching! Only thing is that it gets caught sometimes in clothes & can get in the way of my work but that’s just how rings are in general when they sit so far out on the finger. That along with the swirl end bits being something I’ll have to get more used to. I ordered this design because I knew my thumbs would continue to go further even if there was steel in the way (I have very strong thumbs)
These have helped me for my cashiering job at a grocery store where I have to press buttons on the screen for hours on end, stops my fingers, wrist and arms from being in pain:)
They also added a size to the size chart for me on a separate order and I appreciated it!

These are PERFECT for helping keep my fingers straight with my hypermobility. I wear them to diamond paint and the difference is absolutely night and day! I was able to go for 4 hours without finger pain!
Also, an absolutely lovely human being. I did accidentally order the wrong sizes and I was able to exchange them without issue. They helped me pick the correct size and was absolutely so patient with me!
